Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2025

Look, we get it - nobody actually enjoys reading these things. But hey, we're gonna be straight with you about how we handle your info because that's just how we roll.

What Info We Actually Collect

When you reach out to us or poke around our site, we might grab some basic stuff like:

  • Your name and how to get back to you (email, phone - you know, the usual)
  • Project details you share when you're curious about working together
  • Technical bits like your IP address and browser type (boring stuff, really)
  • Cookies that help the site remember you're not a robot

We're not gonna sell your email to some sketchy marketing list or anything shady like that. Promise.

Why We Need This Stuff

Pretty straightforward, honestly:

  • To actually respond when you contact us (seems obvious, right?)
  • Figure out if we're a good fit for your project
  • Send you proposals, contracts, and all that professional jazz
  • Keep you in the loop about your project's progress
  • Occasionally share portfolio updates or company news (but only if you're cool with it)
  • Make the website work better and not crash on you

That's it. We're architects, not data miners.

How We Keep Your Data Safe

We've been doing this since 2015, and yeah, we take security seriously. Your information lives on secure servers with proper encryption and all that technical protection you'd expect from professionals.

Our team's trained on data handling, and we've got policies in place to make sure nobody's browsing through client info during their lunch break. Access is limited to folks who actually need it to do their jobs.

But let's be real - nothing online is 100% bulletproof. We do our best, though, and we're constantly updating our security measures.

Who We Share With (Spoiler: Almost Nobody)

We're not in the business of handing out your info like Halloween candy. The only time we'd share your data:

  • With contractors or consultants on your specific project (and only what they need to know)
  • Our accounting folks for invoicing and tax stuff
  • If the law actually requires it (court orders, that kind of thing)
  • Service providers who help run our website and email systems (they're bound by their own privacy agreements)

No random third parties, no marketing companies, no spam networks. Hard pass on all that.

Your Rights & Choices

It's your data, after all. You've got options:

  • Access: Want to see what we've got on file? Just ask.
  • Corrections: If something's wrong, we'll fix it ASAP.
  • Deletion: Want us to delete your info? We can do that (unless we legally need to keep it for contracts or whatever).
  • Opt-out: Don't want marketing emails? Hit that unsubscribe button or let us know.
  • Data portability: Need your info in a usable format? We'll export it for you.

Shoot us an email at contact@mythicatforgex.info and we'll sort you out.

Cookies & Tracking

Yeah, we use cookies - not the chocolate chip kind, unfortunately. These little files help us remember your preferences and understand how people use our site.

We use analytics to see which pages get traffic and where folks are coming from. It's aggregated data though - we're not tracking individual movements like some creepy surveillance system.

Most browsers let you block cookies if you're not into them. Fair warning though - some parts of the site might act a bit wonky without 'em.

How Long We Keep Stuff

We don't hoard data forever. Generally:

  • Active project info - kept throughout the project and for 7 years after (Canadian tax law thing)
  • General inquiries - usually purged after a year if nothing comes of it
  • Marketing contacts - until you unsubscribe or we realize you're not interested
  • Website analytics - aggregated data sticks around longer, but it's anonymous

Once we don't need it anymore, it gets securely deleted.

Canadian Privacy Laws

We're based in Vancouver, BC, so we follow Canadian privacy legislation including PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). It's basically Canada's way of making sure businesses don't get too nosy with people's personal info.

We've got a privacy officer on staff who makes sure we're playing by the rules. If you've got concerns about how we're handling things, you can also reach out to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Third-Party Links

Sometimes we'll link to other websites - maybe a manufacturer's site, a supplier's portfolio, or industry resources. Just so you know, we're not responsible for their privacy practices once you click away from our site.

Those sites have their own policies, so maybe give 'em a quick read if you're concerned.

Changes to This Policy

Every now and then we might need to update this policy - new laws, new services, whatever. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and maybe shoot out an email if it's a big change.

We won't suddenly start doing something crazy with your data without letting you know first.

Questions? Let's Talk

Seriously, if something in here doesn't make sense or you've got concerns, don't hesitate to reach out. We'd rather answer your questions than have you worrying about your privacy.
